Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 July 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Truckie. Please read them carefully before using the app or registering for early access.

1. Agreement to these Terms

By creating an account, using Truckie, or registering for early access, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What Truckie does

Truckie is a job diary, diesel tracker and true-profit calculator built for Australian owner-driver subcontractors. It lets you log jobs, loads, rates, hours, diesel and fixed costs, and see your true profit after costs.

Truckie is intended for business and work record-keeping by Australian owner-drivers, subcontractors, and small operators. Truckie is not a substitute for invoices, receipts, BAS records, bookkeeping software, or professional accounting advice.

3. Current status and early access

Truckie is launch-ready and preparing for public release, including release through Google Play. During the early access period, features, pricing and availability may change as we prepare for full public launch.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your login credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at gettruckie@gmail.com.

5. Accurate data entry

You are responsible for entering accurate information into Truckie. The calculations and summaries Truckie produces are only as accurate as the data you provide.

6. Not financial, tax or business advice

Truckie provides record-keeping and calculation tools only. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, legal or business advice. Users are responsible for checking their own records, expenses, tax obligations and business decisions.

7. Subscriptions, pricing and free trial

Truckie's launch pricing is A$9.99 per month or A$99.99 per year for Australian customers, GST inclusive. Truckie is also available internationally in USD, GBP, EUR, CAD and NZD at an equivalent price point; customers billed in a currency other than AUD are billed exclusive of GST (which is an Australian tax only) and are responsible for any sales tax, VAT or similar levy that applies in their own country. You will always see the exact price and currency you will be charged on the secure checkout page before you pay. New accounts include a 30-day free trial with full access and no credit card required to start. Subscriptions, where active, renew automatically until cancelled.

8. Payments and billing

Payments may be processed by Stripe, Google Play Billing, or another authorised payment provider, depending on how you access Truckie. If Truckie is distributed through Google Play, Google Play billing terms may also apply to purchases made through that platform.

9. Fleet accounts, trucks and drivers

Truckie offers a Fleet plan for operators managing more than one truck or driver. A Fleet plan is billed per truck: the base subscription covers the account owner's first truck, and each additional truck is billed as a separate add-on at the applicable monthly or yearly per-truck rate shown at checkout.

A Fleet account owner creates a login for each driver they add. By creating a driver account, the owner confirms they are authorised to do so and is responsible for their relationship with that driver, including any employment, contracting or workplace obligations under the law that applies to them. Job, load, wage and location records a driver enters are visible to the account owner so the owner can review, price and manage jobs — this is a core function of the Fleet plan, not an error or a bug. A driver who no longer wishes to use Truckie under a Fleet account should raise this with their account owner or contact us directly.

10. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time in Settings or by emailing gettruckie@gmail.com. Access continues until the end of your current billing period, and no further charges apply after cancellation.

Solo accounts: for yearly plans, you may request a refund within 14 days of your annual payment date by contacting us. The 14-day refund option for the yearly plan is offered in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory consumer protection law that applies to you.

Fleet accounts: once an account is upgraded to a Fleet plan, all yearly billing on that account — including the base owner plan and every per-truck add-on — is non-refundable. Cancelling a Fleet yearly plan or a per-truck add-on stops future renewal, but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period already paid. This reflects the per-seat, on-demand nature of Fleet billing and does not limit any right you may have under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Truckie for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to access other users' data, not to reverse engineer the app, and not to share your account credentials.

12. App availability, bugs and updates

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. The app may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control, and features may change over time.

13. Data backup and export

While Truckie keeps your records backed up in the cloud, you are responsible for keeping your own copies of important records, including invoices, receipts, tax records and BAS-related information. You can export your records at any time using the Export Data feature in Settings.

14. Your data

You own the data you enter into Truckie. We do not claim ownership of your content. On a Fleet account, a driver's job, load, wage and location records remain that driver's data, but the driver acknowledges this data is also used by their account owner to run the fleet's operations, as described in section 9. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Limitation of liability

Truckie is a record-keeping and calculation tool. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the app, including reliance on calculations or summaries. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Truckie's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

16. Australian Consumer Law and international users

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. If you are located outside Australia, nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the law of your own country that cannot lawfully be excluded or overridden by agreement — including, for consumers in the European Union, United Kingdom, or European Economic Area, any mandatory rights under applicable consumer protection and data protection law. Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with a right that cannot lawfully be excluded for you, that provision applies only to the extent the law allows.

17. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that are used unlawfully. You may stop using Truckie and delete your account at any time.

If you delete your account, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Some information may remain briefly in backups or where retention is required by law.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through an in-app notice. Continued use of Truckie after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

19. App stores and Google Play

If you download or use Truckie through Google Play, Google Play's applicable terms and policies may also apply to your use of the app.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and, subject to section 16, disputes will be handled in the courts of Victoria. If you are a consumer located in the European Union, United Kingdom or another jurisdiction where local law requires disputes to be heard in your home courts or under your home law, this section does not remove that right.

21. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, contact us at gettruckie@gmail.com.
